Here are my picks for this Week’s Parlay of the Week. Let’s get these W’s all season!
This week, the Bears are matched up with a defense that leaves much to be desired. To end last year’s season, the Titans ranked 27th in coverage rating and 22nd in pressure rating, according to Pro Football Focus. During the preseason, their pressure was slightly better, but they ranked last in the league in terms of coverage rating. This Bears offensive line has improved greatly as they were ranked first in the league in pass block rating during the preseason. DJ Moore and Keenan Allen have favorable matchups against every corner they will face on Sunday. This sets up Caleb Williams to start his career with a bang statistically. I would like Caleb Williams to go over this passing yard with a total of 244.5. I think this offense will have a big day.
This Lions offense is expected to be very electric this year, and this week’s matchup with the Rams gives them a chance to do it. According to Pro Football Focus, the Lions ranked 9th in the league on run block rating during the preseason. This Rams defense ranked 31st in the league in rush defense rating and 27th in the league in Tackling rating. The Lions will establish the run, and I expect Gibbs to break a couple of big runs. With a lack of tackling by the Rams’ defense and the abilities of the Lions’ offensive line, Gibbs is in position for a big day.
It’s another year for Baker in this offense, and he seems very comfortable in it. This week’s matchup for the Bucs features the Commanders, whose defense has not been great as of late. Last season, according to Pro Football Focus, the Commanders ranked in the bottom 8 in coverage and pressure. This preseason showed the same coverage; now, they rank 29th in the league. Baker should be able to take advantage. Chris Godwin and Mike Evans both have great matchups against any corner they will see. With improvements at the QB position for the commanders, I see this game being more competitive, forcing Baker to get it done.
