Miami Dolphins 2024 Fantasy Football Team Preview

The Dolphins offense was absolutely dominant at times during the 2023 season. Led by QB Tua Tagovailoa, they were deadly in both the passing and running game, leading the league in total offense with 6,822 yards. With one of the most innovative offensive-minded head coaches in the league in HC Mike McDaniel, the Fins should continue to be an offensive juggernaut in 2024.

Key Players:

QB Tua Tagovailoa:

Tua started 2023 like a house on fire the first three weeks of the season, but his production diminished the rest of the way,  with only two games with over 20 fantasy points. This placed him in the middle of the QB pack compared to a top-10 finish in 2022. Assuming good health from all of the fantasy studs surrounding him, he is a prime candidate to post high-end QB2 numbers with QB1 upside. Tua certainly will be motivated as he is currently seeking a contract extension in the ranges of the recently signed Jared Goff and Trevor Lawrence.

RB De’Von Achane:

Achane averaged a league-best 7.7 yards per touch in 2023. He may not approach that number again, but will he make a jump in the number of touches per game with Raheem Mostert back in the picture and the drafting of speedster Jaylen Wright? If Achane manages to bag 15-20 touches in this high-octane offense, the sky is the limit. Consider him an RB2 with high-end RB1 potential with an increased workload.

WR Tyreek Hill:

Hill has traditionally been a WR1 and ranks as one of the overall top players in fantasy football. Until this point, he has not shown any signs of slowing down in his career. It would probably be a reach to see Hill duplicate his 2023 numbers, but he was on a pace to become the first receiver to reach 2,000 yards in a single season, ultimately finishing with 1,799 yards. Hill ranked 4th in receptions and 1st in both yards and TDs. Hill is still clearly a WR1 with the only caveat being that he will be 30 years old to start the season.

WR Jaylen Waddle:

Waddle had a slip-up in production from his 2022 campaign, but that could be more attributed to his health rather than a decline in his actual play. Waddle was actually more productive in the games that he managed to play more than half of the snaps than he was in 2022. Tyreek Hill has arguably been the top fantasy football WR, but he turns 30 this year. Will he finally slow down and lose a step? Waddle is already a very high-end WR2 with WR1 potential if Hill slips a bit.

Fantasy Outlook:

The Dolphins will once again be one of the top-ranked offenses in 2024. They have an abundance of talent in QB Tua Tagovailoa, RBs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, and WRs Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Rookie RB Jaylen Wright was added in the draft, giving HC Mike McDaniel yet another speed burner to draw up plays for. This is definitely a team to focus on for building a fantasy winner.
