Caleb Williams, Bears—After his preseason performance his draft stock has risen at least 2-3 rounds.
Jayden Daniels, Commanders—He threw a 40-yard pass on a rope to Dyami Brown and then ran in a short TD. Could be a harbinger of things to come in DC.
J.J. McCarthy, Vikings—Likely going to be named the starter in Week 7 after the Vikings BYE week.
James Cook, Bills—Picking up where he left off at the end of last season. He should get 80% of the touches if he stays healthy.
D’Andre Swift, Bears—It might have one been one reception in a meaningless preseason game but if the Bears are willing to throw the ball to him out of the backfield, it will raise his draft stock in PPR leagues.
Jaylen Wright, Dolphins—Showed that he is one Mostert or Achane injury away from being very fantasy-relevant.
Cooper Kupp, Rams—Stafford always seems to key in on his top receiver. With Puka Nacua out, Kupp could get 15-18 targets per game.
Romeo Doubs, Packers—Hearing all sorts of great things about him in camp. Uber consistent.
Khalil Shakir, Bills—Has the best rapport with Allen out of all the Bills’ receivers and runs crisp, seamless routes.
Greg Dulcich, Broncos—The coaching staff has been raving about him. Now, it’s up to him to stay healthy and available.
Ben Sinnott, Commanders—He could easily Wally Pipp Zach Ertz much like Trey McBride did in Arizona.
Russell Wilson, Steelers—Wilson is injured, and Fields’ playmaking ability is shining during practice. Wilson needs to get back soon to assert his spot as the starter.
Justin Herbert, Chargers—He’s got a foot injury on a team that is planning to run 55-60% of the time. Hard pass as of right now.
Christian McCaffrey, 49ers—All it took was one calf strain to get fantasy managers to rethink his value at 1.1. I think there will be a 10-15% reduction in numbers, but it could be more if he’s dealing with a nagging injury.
Jahmyr Gibbs, Lions—A recent hamstring injury in practice will likely lower him from the first round to the second or third.
Marshawn Lloyd, Packers—Suffered his second hamstring injury during the preseason game. Might be shut down for a few weeks and A.J. Dillon is now the RB2.
Kendre Miller, Saints—Dennis Allen seems to be perturbed with Miller’s inability to stay healthy. On a team with Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill, it might take Miller more than half the season to find playing time.
Puka Nacua, Rams—He’s had a checkered injury past and is dealing with a knee injury. Looks like he will be ready for Week 1 but with Kupp fully healthy, Nacua feels more like Stafford’s second option rather than his first.
Hollywood Brown, Chiefs—He’s going to miss at least the rest of training camp and possibly more with an injured shoulder. Look for the team to bring him along very slowly.
Jordan Addison, Vikings—The looming DUI charge shouldn’t affect his 2024 draft stock, but fantasy managers are still wary in case the NFL decides not to wait on his punishment.
T.J. Hockenson, Vikings—Reports have him potentially returning Week 7. He still has value, but more as part of a fantasy committee than anything.
Dalton Schultz, Texans—Stefon Diggs will siphon targets away from Schultz, and the team drafted Case Stover, who was Stroud’s teammate at OSU. The writing seems to be on the wall for Schultz in Houston.
