Welcome back to another week of NFL football as we get ready to dive into the IDP waiver wire once again. With so many people running to the wire for offensive players, you might see some high-profile defensive players being dropped for roster space. So keep your eyes open for that as well, as you look for these players below. Even three weeks into the season, I have a knack for finding players who will perform for you and your teams. With that edge, we’ll use it again to bring the pain to the competition and the waiver wire. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.
Blake Cashman has started the season off on a tear, accumulating 19 total tackles with one sack. With the Texans coming to Minnesota, you can expect another big workload for Cashman, who is dominating the middle of the field right now. At just under nine percent rostered in most leagues, you should be able to pick him up with no problem.
My prediction: 7 total tackles, 1 pass defended
This should come as a no-brainer when it comes to the Carolina Panthers and Josey Jewell. With the defense on the field most of the time, Jewell has benefited with 18 total tackles thus far this season. He’s also around seven percent rostered in most leagues, giving you the green light to pick up this gridiron monster.
My prediction: 7 total tackles
David Long Jr. always seems to end up in my article at least once a year, and here he is again. At 19 total tackles so far and with the future of bad quarterbacking coming soon, Long is ready to benefit from this unfortunate situation. Sitting around four percent owned in most leagues, Long could be that final piece to all of your fantasy defenses.
My prediction: 6 total tackles, 1 stuff
