As we approach the mid-season point for fantasy football, the waiver wire is becoming more and more vital for your team. That is why I dug deep this week, and what I found was a player that wasn’t even rostered in any leagues. A player like that will help not only your current team but also your dynasty teams in the future. You’ll find out who that superstar is below, as well as a couple of other players that are anyone else’s target list. That’s why there’s only one friendly, neighborhood IDP hero who strives to help your teams dominate every single week. Also, if you like to stream defensive players, look no further than my IDP Heats of the Week, which will be out later this week. For now, let’s dive into the waiver wire so we can find some gems that may be able to fill that spot for you right now. That way, you can bring the pain to your opponents once again. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.
LB Jamien Sherwood, New York Jets
If you’re wondering who’s hogging all the tackles for the Jets, then look no further than Jamien Sherwood. With 73 total tackles so far this season, it looks like he’ll be accumulating more with the Jets playing football like a raging toddler with no candy. Toddlers aside, since there are a few on this roster, you can count on Sherwood not being one of them. He is currently available in 90 percent of fantasy leagues, giving you a chance at a player who is ready to dominate all of your teams going forward.
My Prediction: 8 total tackles, 1 stuff
LB Jack Campbell, Detroit Lions
Quietly, Jack Campbell is having a great year so far this season. Since accumulating 49 tackles and one sack this season, Campbell has been part of an inspirational defense that has played great even after Aiden Hutchinson’s injury. Right now, he’s only rostered around six percent in most leagues, giving you a great player for either seasonal or dynasty leagues. Scoop him up now before you miss out on one of the Lion’s future superstar linebackers.
My Prediction: 6 total tackles
S Demani Richardson, Carolina Panthers
Here’s your pickup of the week, whether you’re in a seasonal or dynasty league. Demani Richardson isn’t even rostered in any leagues, which gives you a pathway to a generational player who has shown he is a force to be reckoned with. With the current injuries to the Panthers secondary, he came in and recorded 11 total tackles and two stuffs. This is your chance to get a young pain bringer on your team before anyone else knows about him.
My Prediction: 7 total tackles, 1 stuff, 1 pass defended
