Fantasy Football Streaming Options: Week Seven

Every week, I try to find players who could be sitting on the waiver wire and are worth picking up for this week based on their matchups. With bye weeks here, finding streaming options has become even more important! Here’s what I have for week six:

Teams on a bye: Cowboys and Bears

QB:

This week, if you roster Prescott or Williams, you might be looking for a streaming option.

Justin Herbert, Chargers

Herbert just had his best passing game of the season in week 6, and it came against a really good passing defense, the Broncos. Herbert and the Chargers had a 3-score lead after the first half, so they took their foot off the gas, or his day would have been much bigger. This week, he gets to face the Cardinals, who rank 28th in fantasy football against the QB position and also rank 28th in the NFL in points allowed (27.2 per game).

Drake Maye, Patriots

Even with him being on a terrible team that may not win another game all year, Maye is going to have plenty of garbage time opportunities every game, and it will lead to good fantasy numbers. This week, he faces a team that is equally as bad, so there may not be garbage time, but they are the 32nd-ranked team vs. the QB in fantasy football, so Maye should be in for a good game. He threw for 243 yards and 3 TDs and rushed for 38 yards last week, showing off his athleticism, so look for more of the same this week.

RB:

This week, if you roster Dowdle or Swift, you might be looking for a streaming option.

Blake Corum, Rams

The Rams face the Raiders in Los Angeles this weekend, and the Rams should be able to run the football all over the Raiders. The Raiders rank 28th in fantasy football against RBs this season and are allowing 140 rushing yards per game. Although Corum is the clear backup to Kyren Williams, there should be plenty of opportunity for both players to rack up fantasy points in this one.

D’Ernest Johnson, Jaguars

You have to monitor the status of Travis Etienne throughout the week, but if ETN does miss this game as expected, then Johnson will be the number 2 RB behind Tank Bigbsy on Sunday. That is an excellent spot to be in, as the Jaguars will take on the Patriots, who rank 29th in fantasy football against the RB position. Bigsby is likely to see the majority of the work, but. Johnson could still get 10 touches or so and maybe vulture a TD.

WR:

This week, if you roster Lamb, Tolbert, Moore, Allen, or Odunze, you might be looking for a streaming option.

DeMario Douglas, Patriots

QB Drake Maye has brought a new hope to the Patriots offense. Douglas could be the main beneficiary of it, too. He saw nine targets in week 6, catching 6 of them for 92 yards and a TD. He has had some other solid games this season, but overall, he has been inconsistent, and I blame the QB play for that. This week, Douglas faces the Jaguars, who rank 31st vs. the WR position this season in fantasy football.

Rashod Bateman, Ravens

Bateman has delivered two straight solid weeks of fantasy production. If you play in a deeper league and you are looking for an option to put in your flex, Bateman could be what you need. He had four catches for 58 yards and a TD against the Bengals in week five and followed that up with four catches for 71 yards against the Commanders in week 6. He is trending upward and plays in what could be a shootout in week seven between the Ravens and Bucs. The Bucs rank 27th in fantasy football against WRs.

Xavier Legette, Panthers

I like the matchup and game script this week for Legette. He and the Panthers are heading to Washington to take on one of the top offenses in the NFL, and with the Panthers defense being the worst in the league, Washington could score 40-plus points. That is going to set up garbage time opportunities for the Panthers, and Legette can capitalize on that. Washington also ranks poorly in fantasy against WRs, ranking 28th coming into the week.

TE:

This week, if you roster Ferugson or Kmet, you might be looking for a streaming option.

Jonnu Smith, Dolphins

He looked good in the Dolphins week five win. They had their bye in week six, which should help the entire offense as QB Tyler Huntley gets more comfortable in a new offense. Jonnu was the one guy prior to the bye who seemed to have a nice rapport with Huntley, so look for it to continue this week against the Colts, who rank 27th in fantasy against the TE position.

Zack Ertz, Commanders

Ertz has an excellent matchup this week against the Panthers, who ranks 24th in fantasy football against the TE position. The Panthers can’t tackle, and they rank last in the NFL in points allowed (33.8 per game). Ertz is rostered in just 36% of leagues on Sleeper and plays in one of the best offenses in the league right now.

DST:

If you roster any of the defenses that are on a bye week, you might be looking to stream.

Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals defense has been pretty bad this season, primarily due to injuries, though. They are finally healthy again and showed it in their big week six victory on the road against the Giants. Now, they face the Browns this week, who rank last in the NFL in yards per game and 30th in points per game. The Browns just traded away Amari Cooper yesterday, who has been their best offensive player, too. This offense will continue to stink until they bench Watson.
