Anyone in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform
Outside of a Week 15 matchup against San Diego that may sour a first-round playoff showdown for many managers, those of us relying on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense to navigate the homestretch and playoff run are sailing full speed ahead. Tampa Bay’s schedule is almost as easy as it gets for not only Baker Mayfield but the running back room and Cade Otton owners, as well. Comparatively speaking, it may seem like a letdown, but the remaining schedule for Buccaneer wide receivers ranks in the top half of the league, too. Even Tampa’s defense has an absolute cakewalk through the remaining games. With the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, and Las Vegas Raiders on the schedule for Weeks 12-14 and a Week 16-17 schedule of Dallas and Carolina, all of your Bucs are a must-start for the rest of the season. That includes Rachaad White despite Bucky Irving slowly but surely earning more trust from the coaching staff. Fire the cannons and fire every single Tampa Bay player you can into your lineups.
SELL
D’Andre Swift, RB, Chicago Bears
In classic D’Andre Swift fashion, it’s been a roller coaster of a season for Chicago’s RB1, and the outlook for the rest of the calendar appears to be an uphill battle. Between a bottom three remaining strength of schedule for running backs, a tough matchup this week versus Minnesota, and Roschon Johnson’s 11-touch re-emergence last week against Green Bay, I’m firmly out on Swift. It may be tough to find a replacement for your lineup this week with the plethora of byes, but with Chicago coaches speaking highly of Week 11’s split in running back responsibilities, do your best to find a new option for the immediate and not-so-immediate future.
HOLD
Kyren Williams, RB, Los Angeles Rams
Fantasy managers rode Williams’ touchdown streak for seven straight appearances, but the last three contests have left us begging for more as the weekly visits to paydirt proved to be unsustainable. Now that the health of the offensive line and other skill position players around him seems to be heading in the right direction, it’s only a matter of time before Williams gets back on the RB1 track. The remaining schedule for the Rams is one of the friendliest when it comes to running backs, and this is a team in the middle of the playoff picture that will be fighting tooth and nail down to the end of the season for the NFC West crown. It’s not surprising Williams hasn’t ranked as a top 20 PPR back since Week 8, but it would be surprising if he doesn’t begin to trend back in the other direction starting this week against Philadelphia.
Jameson Williams, WR, Detroit Lions
If you followed suit when I implored you to buy Williams a couple of weeks ago, you were rewarded last week with a top-10 WR finish and are staring another top-tier performance in the face in Week 12 as Detroit has a juicy match-up with Indianapolis. Detroit’s remaining strength of schedule against wide receivers is in the top third of the league, and Detroit’s offense still leads the league in touchdowns scored. Earlier in the year, I was wrong to downplay Amon-Ra St. Brown’s projected impact on this offense across the remainder of this season. However, The Sun God’s target share does nothing to dissuade me from starting Williams every week.
