There are two Ravens players that I love this season, and I am willing to push them up in drafts to make sure I get them. The other is an emerging star at a position that can be tough to draft.
Although he is getting up there in age, Henry is still a beast, and joining this elite Ravens offense with an MVP QB in Lamar Jackson puts Henry in a position where he doesn’t have to carry the offense on his back. Instead, he can just dominate with the touches he gets, and I think he is going to lead all position players this season in TDs.
McBride had a ridiculous 2023 season. It’s even more impressive when you consider that he began the season as a backup to Zach Ertz. Add to that the fact that he didn’t have Kyler Murray for half the season, either. Still, McBride had over 80 receptions and was arguably the second-best TE in fantasy football in the second half of the season. He is currently going a round later than Travis Kelce, and I understand that Kelce is one of the best to ever do it, and he plays with Patrick Mahomes, but in terms of the production, you are going to see from each of them this year, I believe McBride is going to have a better season. I am not even saying to take McBride over Kelce, but I am saying that if you are willing to take Kelce in the late 3rd or early 4th, you should be willing to take McBride there, too.
Flowers had an amazing rookie season in Baltimore last year and quickly asserted himself as the team’s number-one wide receiver. I believe he flew under the radar a little bit because all the talk was about Puka Nacua and Rashee Rice. I also think the addition of Derrick Henry is going to help Flowers, too. The Raven’s play-action pass game is going to be better this season, and it could lead to more big plays from Flowers. At the very least, Flowers should be a reception monster and is an elite WR2 in my mind, even though he is going in the 5th round.
