Fantasy Football Pace of Play Week 16: Games to Target, Avoid

Fastest Paced Games

#1 – New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons

This game comes in the fastest average of neutral seconds per snap (25.4) and 3rd fastest adjusted pace time (28.7) The Giants are 6th in the league in plays run per game (60.6) and are above league average in Seconds/snap (26.9), Pass Percentage Plus Pass Rate Over Expected (57.4%), Pass Percentage (60.5%) and Non-Two Minute No Huddle Percentage (11.7%). The Falcons are 4th in adjusted pace time (27.7), 9th in plays run per game (59), above league average in Seconds/snap (27) and Non-Two Minute No Huddle Percentage (15.4%). The matchups look good for the skill positions in this game. It’s the pro debut of QB Michael Penix, one of the best point-per-dollar options on the slate and a definite cash game staple this week. You can stack him with any of his pass catchers, and RB Bijan Robinson is definitely in play, facing a Giants defense that has given up the most rushing plays of 10 or more yards. WR Malik Nabers and his massive target share is a good run-back option.

#2 – Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks

This game comes in with the fastest adjusted pace time (28.3). The Vikings are 9th in Pass Percentage Plus Pass Rate Over Expected (65.8%). The Seahawks come 4th best in all the following: Seconds/snap (26), Pass Percentage Plus Pass Rate Over Expected (65.8%), Pass Percentage (63.2%), and in Non-Two Minute No Huddle Percentage (23%). There are great matchups for the WRs on both sides in this one, and the stacking options are really good, too. Minny averages nearly four passing plays per game of 20 or more yards, the most in the league, so WRs Jefferson and Addison are firmly in play. The O/U point total is 42.5, but it projects more like 46.5, making this game sneaky and keeping DFS ownership percentages for the players in this game low. You can also click the button on WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and DK Metcalf is way too cheap not to get into some lineups.

#3 – Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals

This game comes in with the 2nd fastest average of neutral seconds per snap (26.4). The Browns are 3rd fastest in Seconds/snap, 2nd in plays run per game (61.6) and Pass Percentage Plus Pass Rate Over Expected (66.8%), 1st in Pass Percentage (65.4%) and 7th in Non-Two Minute No Huddle Percentage (14.7%). The Bengals are numero uno in Pass Percentage Plus Pass Rate Over Expected (71.7%), 2nd in Pass Percentage (64.4%) and 4th in Redzone Conversion Percentage (68.1%). They come in with the 3rd highest implied point total (27.25) and project to run the 3rd most plays this week (64.1). QB Joe Burrow has incredibly thrown for 250 yards and three TDs in six straight. This is the 4th best passing matchup for the Bengals according to the sum of pass offense DVOA and pass defense DVOA, and it is good on paper for the two elite WRs, Chase and Higgins, and their appealing consolidated target share. Play the Bengals side of this one heavily, including Chase Brown, one of the best RB options on the slate, and Browns RB Jerome Ford, who is a cheap option with no Nick Chubb.
