Hall is a young, explosive player who, at times, carried the Jets offense last season due to awful QB play. Although they won’t need to rely on him as much this season if Aaron Rodgers is healthy, I expect Hall to have an even better season because opposing defenses will have to finally worry about the Jets passing game. Hall set a career-high with 994 rushing yards last season and can far exceed that total in an offense that could be one of the best in the NFL this season.
The Bills pass catchers look very different entering this season than they have over the past few years. With both Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis gone, QB Josh Allen will be looking for a new favorite weapon at the position. Although they drafted Keon Coleman, he is just a rookie who could take time to adjust to the NFL. Shakir is the longest-tenured WR on the team now, but he has never shown the ability to be a number one. Samuel, on the other hand, was a sneaky addition to this offense who could be a receptions monster and a reliable possession receiver for Allen. Samuel came close to 80 receptions once, setting a career-best with 77 back in 2020.
Smith has never had the benefit of elite, or even very good QB play in his career, and it’s the reason why he has a career-best of only 582 receiving yards. He set that mark last season, even in a run-first offense with horrible QB play. This offseason, he joined the Dolphins, who are one of the top passing offenses in the NFL, and although he may not see a ton of targets with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the outside, he should make plenty of big plays thanks to his size, speed and the explosiveness of this offense led by Tua Tagovailoa.
