There were some major quarterback injuries in week two, and we may be scrambling to find replacements. Also, a few unexpected players stepped up that could help your team if you’re having injuries or just need roster depth. Here are my streamers for week three.
QB Carson Wentz, Vikings
I know Wentz is getting older, but he’s going to have a good shot at scoring some points against a bad Bengals defense. He’s got the weapons, and maybe he can get this Vikings passing offense going.
WR Troy Franklin, Broncos
Franklin led the Broncos with 89 yards and a touchdown last week. I don’t think it’s an anomaly because he also had six targets in week one. WR Courtland Sutton will get all the attention, and nobody else is stepping up. Franklin could do it again vs. the Chargers.
WR Elic Ayomanor, Titans
Ayomanor has had 13 targets on the season, and his efforts paid off with a touchdown last week. The Titans started off with an extremely tough schedule, and now it should be easing up. Ayomanor might be an ascending player, and he could have some shots down the field this week versus the Colts.
WR Dyami Brown, Jaguars
Brown has a tough matchup this week, but WR Brian Thomas Jr. might be out. This should give Brown more targets and a shot to score again this week.
WR Hunter Renfrow, Panthers
Renfrow is turning into the Panthers’ second receiving option. He’s had 15 targets over the two games and should be targeted again in a game where the Panthers could be playing from behind. He could score seeing the lesser coverage.
RB Bhayshul Tuten, Jaguars
Tuten is rostered in most leagues, but I have seen him on waivers in leagues where I have plenty of running backs. He is a must-add, as he is getting double-digit touches in only his second game. Not only is he a threat every week, but he could become a league winner if something were to happen to RB Travis Etienne.
TE Harold Fannin Jr., Browns
I expect Fannin to get better as the season goes on. I think he has a good shot of getting a bunch of targets this week against a Packers team that really plays against the receiver very well. They will give up catches to the tight end.
K Will Reichard, Vikings
Reichard is a top-five kicker, and I expect the Vikings to move the football even with Wentz versus a bad Bengals defense. He could have plenty of chances for field goals this week, and his leg can kick them from 55 yards and beyond.
D Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks defense is in a good spot at home versus a bad Saints defense. I am trying to drop the Broncos for them even.
