The 2025 NFL rookie class is not as highly regarded as compared to the upcoming draft classes. That doesn’t mean that fantasy football managers can’t find some gold in this year’s class. Here’s a list of some of the top rookies that fantasy football managers should be interested in this upcoming season:
RB Ashton Jeanty, Las Vegas Raiders
Jeanty has the inside track on rookie of the year. He was drafted by the Raiders, who are in desperate need of a solid run game. New head coach Pete Carroll will rely on him for about 300 carries this season, but what makes him special is that he has very good hands out of the backfield and could see about 30 to 40 receptions, too. It wouldn’t be shocking to see him have 1500 total yards from scrimmage as well as 10 touchdowns. He’s a lock as a first-round draft pick.
RB Omarion Hampton, Los Angeles Chargers
Hampton is another player who ended up in a perfect landing spot. Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh always tries to dominate the line of scrimmage and wants an impact running game. The Chargers drafted Hampton in the first round, and he has been exceptional in training camp. NBC’s Rotoworld’s Matthew Berry called him his “ride or die” this season, which tells you how highly experts in the industry think of him.
RB TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots
It seems like every other day on social media, there’s another clip showing how good Henderson is. One clip has him catching a 70-yard touchdown, and another one has him going for a 20-yard run to the end zone. What makes Henderson extra special, however, is that he’s excellent in pass protection. A lot of times, rookies are not able to stay on the field because they can’t pass protect, but that’s not the case with Henderson. His pass protection grade was one of the highest in NFL draft history, and he should be an impact player for New England.
WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers desperately needed a #1 receiver to help Bryce Young reach his potential, and they got one in McMillan. McMillan feels like a young version of Mike Evans in that he can high-point the ball and make a lot of 50/50 catches. Look for him to be an exceptional red zone target and get about seven or eight touchdowns.
WR Emeka Egbuka, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Drafting Ebuka was a little bit of a surprise, but Tampa Bay must have realized that Chris Godwin could miss the early part of this season recovering from last year’s major injury. Bucs QB Baker Mayfield has already said that Egbuka is playing like a veteran and not like a rookie. Egbuka might just surprise fantasy football managers with his solid production this season.
TE Tyler Warren, Indianapolis Colts
Last year was the year of the rookie tight end as Brock Bowers took the fantasy football world by storm with his production. While Warren won’t be as successful as Bowers, he still has amazing athleticism and could easily be the central focus of the Colts’ offense. Josh Downs has been dealing with a hamstring injury and may not be ready for the start of the season, and Michael Pittman has struggled connecting with Anthony Richardson and the other quarterbacks. Warren should be able to dominate most linebackers that he faces, and he could be an excellent source of fantasy production.
