I wrote in the 2019 version of this guide that I expected Showdown to get sharper and the edge to diminish over time. In tournaments I’m seeing some truth to that in the data (and I dig into that more deeply in the 2020 updates for the Advanced Showdown Course), but in cash games the edge is still massive. In 2018 I cashed at just over a 70% rate in double-ups, so I tracked exactly what I did in double-ups in 2019: what lineup I played, the score, did it cash, and the percentile the lineup . . .
