    IC LITE – JM JOURNAL ::

    TUESDAY ::
    • Chargers offense – McDaniel’s system looks mechanical so far, but a fast-paced Bills game could force them to just play football and unlock something.
    • Bryce Young + Panthers – Young looks good with an aggressive play-calling shift; weekly exposure path through Young, T-Mac, and Coker before pricing catches up.
    • Walker + Emmett Johnson block – Combined 32-34 pre-TD points each week; at 11.8k they cover two RB spots in a week where 3.5x at RB would be a big win.
    • Hutchinson + Schultz – Combined 24.8 PPG with zero TDs on 14 and 23 targets; 8.2k block gains value with Nico Collins out and salary tightening.
    • Chiefs-Dolphins – Hard to envision a Chiefs drive not ending in a TD; backups and Emmett Johnson likely in the fourth quarter, similar to SF’s five-straight-TD start against MIA.

    IC LITE – END AROUND ::

    MACRO SLATE VIEW ::
    • Slate environment – Four games carry a total of 48-plus points, including a 50.0 and a 53.0, creating a wide-open scoring landscape.
    • Ownership spread – Composite ownership is largely spread out across teams, making ownership mostly a non-issue outside a select few players.
    • Quarterback headliners – Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson both appear on the main slate for the second time in three weeks, a rarity given their primetime-heavy schedules.
    • Concentrated offenses – The Panthers, Jaguars, and Jets deserve attention as concentrated offenses outside the top game environments.
    • Leverage opportunity – The slate’s openness creates significant construction flexibility from a leverage standpoint.
    RESTRICTIVE CHALK ::
    • Jahmyr Gibbs – Restrictive chalk; ranks second in FP/G and third in opportunity share with massive volume-driven upside, though offensive line issues have dragged rush efficiency to 23rd in EPA/play and 16th in fantasy points per opportunity.
    • Kenneth Walker III – Restrictive chalk; ranks first in FP/G and second in total yards and rush attempts with a strong matchup, plus second in rush EPA/play despite sitting 21st in fantasy points per opportunity.
    EXPANSIVE / NON-RESTRICTIVE CHALK ::
    • Parker Washington – Neither restrictive nor expansive; ranks third in the league in target share at 34.6 percent and YPRR at 4.3, with room for growth given Trevor Lawrence has just 17 second-half pass attempts through two weeks.
    • Garrett Wilson – Neither restrictive nor expansive; not currently projecting for chalk-level ownership but expected to rise by Sunday, though his profile carries only four career 25-plus DK-point games across four-plus seasons, making elevated ownership uncomfortable.
    • Titans D/ST – Expansive chalk at roughly 20 percent projected ownership, but the game environment does not support elite defensive scoring; the Titans are a middling unit, neither team should be overly aggressive, and a Nor’easter with steady rain and 30 mph wind gusts further clouds the case.

    IC LITE – JM PLAYER GRID ::

    BOTTOM-UP BUILD ::
    • QB: Justin Herbert
    • RB: Chuba Hubbard
    • RB: Emmett Johnson
    • WR: Ladd McConkey
    • WR: Adonai Mitchell
    • WR: Jameson Williams
    • TE: Dalton Kincaid
    • FLEX: Oronde Gadsden
    • DST: Vikings
    • DK Salary Remaining: $6.0k
    BLUE CHIPS ::
    • Jahmyr Gibbs (Blue Chip) – half of his last 12 home games have produced 37-plus DraftKings points, making him a ceiling candidate capable of punishing non-ownership.
    • Gibbs workload consideration – his touch count has jumped from 18.8 per game last year to 28 this season, raising the question of whether the Lions lighten the load in a control game; this tilts toward pairing Gibbs with a Jets pass catcher.
    LIGHT BLUE CHIPS ::
    • Chargers // Bills (Light Blue Chip) – public sentiment has already decided the Chargers’ offense is broken after two weeks, which creates a contrarian opportunity worth leaning into.
    BUILD-AROUNDS ::
    • “Chiefs Cheat Code” – when JSN has scored 30-plus, Sam Darnold’s corresponding scores have been 29.7, 17.7, 20.0, and 31.6, with another 31.2 when JSN hit 25.0.
    RUNNING BACKS ::
    • Narrowest pool – the RB pool is the tightest of any position this week, making it the likeliest to shift as builds progress through Saturday night.

    IC LiteMinimizeShow

    IC LITE – MIKE’S DK AND FD PLAYER GRID ::

    RUNNING BACK ::
    • Jahmyr Gibbs – Has scored 37+ points in six of his last 11 home games, and the Jets defense has not yet been tested by elite competition. Highest floor-and-ceiling candidate on the slate.
    • Kenneth Walker III – Averaging 185 total yards per game through two weeks with 16 targets already. Appears mispriced by roughly $1k, with blowout potential being the primary concern.
    • James Cook – The Bills offense has been terrific and a huge game feels imminent. Pairs well alongside Chargers pieces or stacks.
    • Chuba Hubbard – The Panthers offense has looked strong and Hubbard is in line for a bell-cow role with Jonathon Brooks sidelined.
    FOR THE MME CROWD ::
    • Christian McCaffrey – Volume concerns exist relative to his salary, but a ceiling game likely comes through the overall game environment taking off. Best paired with Brissett or Purdy rather than on rosters not built around that game.
    • Jeremiyah Love – Cheap and talented option who fits specifically alongside Brock Purdy stacks built around CMC and Kittle. A few catches and one explosive play could change the slate.
    • TreVeyon Henderson – Only $5,200 with negligible ownership. Played 60% of snaps last week in his season debut and broke a long play; interesting if he emerges as the Patriots’ primary back.
    • Emmett Johnson – The game environment could get out of hand quickly, and Johnson’s talent with 15 touches could change the slate at his salary. A sensible small-allocation complement on rosters already built around Walker.
    • Jaylen Warren – Likely to be popular, and a ceiling game probably caps around 25 points with a touchdown and heavy receiving work. Three build paths make sense: correlated with Ja’Marr Chase, built without expensive RBs as a bet on a chalky-bust slate, or paired with two sub-$5k TEs to fit three premium RB/WR options elsewhere.

    SECONDARY CORE-RELATIONS ::
    • Ja’Marr Chase / DK Metcalf – Wide range of outcomes but massive ceiling if both offenses stay aggressive. Chase ($8,100) at 7% pOWN and Metcalf ($5,400) at 8% pOWN offer a high-upside secondary pairing.
    • George Kittle / Michael Wilson – Wilson has drawn seven targets in each of the first two weeks; Kittle can spike on limited volume. Kittle ($4,800) at 7% pOWN and Wilson ($5,200) at 4% pOWN form an inexpensive correlation path with legitimate ceiling.

    IC LiteMinimizeShow

    IC LITE – PAPY’S PROCESS ::

    Ravens @ Cowboys ::
    • Highest total again (52.5) – Cowboys at home produce explosive environments with a concentrated offense.
    • CeeDee Lamb vs. George Pickens – Lamb has been excellent and will carry twice the ownership, but Pickens at $1,200 cheaper in the same environment is excellent leverage.
    • Jake Ferguson – preferred ingredients are high total, home, favorite; Cowboys are dogs but projected for enough points to find the end zone.
    • Javonte Williams – 80% snap share last week, Ravens’ relative weakness is against the run, expected under 5% ownership.
    • Lamar Jackson – likely unowned pay-up-to-be-different path at QB.
    • Rashod Bateman and Mark Andrews – chalk candidates if Zay Flowers sits; either works as a bring-back with Cowboys or paired with Lamar.
    • Favorite stack – Dak + Williams + Pickens + Bateman (assuming Flowers sits).
    Jets @ Lions ::
    • Lions game environments – produced 61 and 72 total points through two weeks; Jets offense is good enough to keep the Lions aggressive.
    • Jahmyr Gibbs – around 30% owned for good reason; the most confident play on the slate.
    • Amon-Ra St. Brown – 25 targets through two games, always playable.
    • Jameson Williams – boom-or-bust option, but Jets have been 29th in DVOA against WR2s.
    • Sam LaPorta – 7/8 targets to open the year, still affordable as a home-favorite TE with a high team total; interesting as isolation or in Lions stacks.
    • Bring-backs – Hall, Wilson, or Mitchell can pair with Lions pieces, but Lions stacks also work without a bring-back.
    • Favorite stack – Goff + Gibbs + Williams + LaPorta + Mitchell.
    Chargers @ Bills ::
    • Josh Allen – superhuman start but expected around 5% ownership; a pay-up-to-be-different candidate at home in a high total.
    • Dalton Kincaid – finally a reliable stacking partner, seeing career-high target volume with increased playing time.
    • Chargers pass defense – 27th in DVOA, setting up Allen and the passing game.
    • James Cook – hasn’t had one of his long-touchdown days yet; always in play when the Bills are home favorites.
    • Omarion Hampton – 25 opportunities last week despite a costly late fumble; Bills are 18th in DVOA against the run, so he could bounce back if he hasn’t lost coaching trust.
    • Oronde Gadsden II – nice value as the last man standing in the Chargers TE room.
    • Favorite stack – Allen + Hampton + Kincaid.
    Raiders @ Saints ::
    • Saints pace (1st in seconds per play) – first home game could push tempo even faster.
    • Tyler Shough – priced like a backup but performing well, added 23 rushing yards on nine carries; one of the safest salary-saving QB options.
    • Chris Olave – top-five fantasy WR through two weeks and his cost hasn’t caught up to his value.
    • Juwan Johnson – priced like a punt but has broken 50 yards in both games with end-zone upside.
    • Devaughn Vele – barely any price increase despite 9/7 targets as the clear WR2 on an explosive offense.
    • Brock Bowers – expected to return but may not be at full speed right away.
    • Tre Tucker – big price bump after a long touchdown; boom-or-bust bring-back option.
    • Ashton Jeanty – massive 29/28 opportunities including 13 targets; volume path remains attractive.
    • Favorite stack – Shough + Jeanty + Olave + Johnson.

    Another winning week for the Featured Bets, finishing 7–6 with the Tyquan Thornton ladder counted as one play.

    There were wins in a few different ways. Khalil Shakir stayed below 44.5 with 38 yards despite Buffalo scoring 41 points, Pat Freiermuth crawled over 29.5 with 32 yards in an otherwise miserable Pittsburgh offensive performance, and Christian McCaffrey landed right on four receptions to cash our Under 4.5. Cooper Rush’s longest completion never threatened 31.5 as Atlanta’s passing game completely collapsed in a 34–3 loss.

    The losses had some useful lessons. James Cook got 21 carries as Buffalo played from ahead throughout, while Ashton Jeanty was given 21 attempts despite managing only 48 yards. Tony Pollard similarly reached 14 attempts in a competitive game that Tennessee actually led late. Kalif Raymond’s Under was beaten decisively with five catches for 40 yards. Those were cases where the volume simply beat our projection.

    The highlight was Tyquan Thornton’s ladder. We played 40+, 50+ and 60+ receiving yards at increasingly long plus-money prices, and Thornton cleared the entire ladder. All three rungs cashing had the discord enjoying big wins together!

    Projection Plays: 22–35 | −16.7 Units | −26.7% ROI

    Yeesh. A flat-out miserable week 2. Easily the worst since we’ve been doing this – twice as bad as our worst week last year. With week this bad, it’s usually a combination of bad luck and bad process (just as outlier good weeks feature good luck). The bad luck is a combination of choosing the right angle but wrong bet (i.e. receptions instead of yards), and games going against expected game script, which was a theme of week 2. The bad process is our aggressiveness despite limited data in some respects > player X was deployed this way week 1, but should we expect that to continue or was it matchup driven? In general, we should be more agnostic in assessing the strength and weaknesses of teams after one data point.

    Pop quiz time! Who led ALL Giants players in routes run in Week 2? Darnell Mooney. Who led ALL Giants players in routes run in Week 1? Darnell Mooney. Malik Nabers now has a shoulder injury that could affect his routes, along with still not being himself coming back from multiple knee surgeries. Jaxson Dart out means the offense is now under Jameis Winston’s control. That likely means more 11 personnel, more gunslinging opportunities and more pass attempts instead of scrambles. Mooney already has multiple catches in both games, now we’re getting this at plus money. Winston also historically locks in on players during games (Jerry Jeudy in CLE, Wan’Dale Robinson last season) and if that turns out to be Mooney (who is capable of hitting downfield plays) the upside is immense. This Titans team also isn’t anything to be scared of.

    Sportsbook Prices + Playable Range-112 DK, -114 FD/CZ

    Line movedPosted U32.5 (-112)Now U30.5 (-106)

    The Colts have one of the lowest PROE’s this season despite facing the Ravens and Chiefs, two high-powered offenses that they needed to keep passing against. They’d rather slow the game down, focus on Jonathan Taylor, and limit the extra work Daniel Jones has to do especially since his mobility is minimized coming back from injury. It’s unlikely that Houston shreds them to the point that Jones has to pass MORE than he did in Week 1 and 2 where he had 31 attempts each, including OT and garbage time. Colts also lost Alec Pierce so until Darius Slayton works into the fold, the passing offense has very limited upside and drives are more likely to stall against a good HOU secondary.

    3

    Ted Hurst (TB) UNDER 2.5 Receptions

    Sportsbook Prices + Playable Range-128 DK, -145 CZ, -146 FD

    Market movedPosted -128 DKNow -190 DK

    Hurst has 9 targets this season but 0 while leading, and 7 of them in the 4th quarter, all on an extreme aDOT. Jalen McMillan didn’t play in Week 1 and only ran 2 routes in Week 2, so Hurst’s role is likely to decrease a bit. Especially against a blitz-happy Flores defense, Mayfield’s ability to hit guys downfield is likely limited.

    • Xandamere – Cardinals/49ers is the best game when factoring total and ownership together; Jets/Lions is interesting because Lions pull heavy ownership while Jets do not
    • Hilow – Jets-Lions and Cardinals-49ers are his two answers, driven heavily by projected ownership dynamics; Ravens-Cowboys carries the highest game total at 53 but also hefty ownership, making it less appealing

    • ****Bills/Chargers spread**** – seven points favor Buffalo despite allowing 30-plus in both prior weeks; Chargers offense has been uninspiring enough to limit stack appeal.
    • ****Jets at Lions**** – shootout shape on paper, but Jets offensive credibility remains a concern even against a depleted Detroit defense possibly missing AD Mitchell.

    • Nine-game slate – this is the largest Early Only window of the season, rivaling some late-season main slates in size.
    • Missing teams – BAL, NO, SF, DAL, MIN, LV, TB, and ARI shift to the afternoon window, removing two of the top five cumulative-ownership teams.
    • NYJ/DET and Chiefs ownership – removing high-owned squads like BAL/DAL and ARI/SF should concentrate field exposure heavily on this game and KC.
    • Gibbs and Kenneth Walker III – both are uber-chalk RBs likely to reach 40%+ ownership with high-ceiling pivots like Derrick Henry, CMC, and Ashton Jeanty off the slate; both could crack 50% in smaller fields.
    • Playing both Gibbs and KW3 – viable path, but the rest of the roster build must account for the concentrated chalk.
    • WR tier break – a $1,400 pricing gap separates the top three WRs (JSN, Chase, ARSB at $7,900+) from a cluster priced $5,000–$6,500, creating distinct build strategies.
    • TE ownership likely flat – McBride, Kittle, Bowers, and Andrews all play later; it is plausible no Early TE exceeds 15 points, making cheap TE production a differentiator.
    • Two-TE build path – two cheap TEs ($4K or lower) combined with a cheap stack could unlock three of the elite studs (JSN/Chase/ARSB/Gibbs/KW3); if those studs combine for 100+ points, even 10–15 TE points becomes a cheat code on this slate.

    AFTERNOON ONLY ::

    • Four-game slate – enough strategic angles to exploit, but compact enough for the field to make mistakes.
    • Zay Flowers status – if active, Baltimore’s offense improves but target share spreads thin and hamstring trust is low; if out, value opens up but ownership condenses and the Ravens offense becomes more fragile.
    • Mike Evans status – a secondary monitor that could shift the MIN/TB game’s ceiling.
    • RB depth concerns – CMC and Henry sit in elite spots with massive ceilings; Ashton Jeanty is strong but faces a solid Saints defense with offensive uncertainty around him.
    • Thin RB tier below the top – the Saints backfield is a mess, Javonte Williams is TD-dependent and inefficient, the Cardinals split RB work, and MIN/TB features two strong run defenses against iffy rushing attacks.
    • Jeremiyah Love – stands out as a leverage candidate given the weakness across the rest of the RB depth chart below CMC, Henry, and Jeanty.

    IC LITE – CHEAT SHEET ::

    SLATE SNAPSHOT ::
    • Layered shape — Four games carry totals of 48-plus, but no single environment dominates, so ceiling is distributed rather than concentrated.
    • Fragile chalk — Walker and Gibbs will be heavily rostered, yet both carry efficiency or volatility concerns that make top-shelf RB ownership brittle.
    • Salary forces a choice — Premium RBs compress the rest of the roster; the room is split between stars-and-scrubs and cheaper QB paths that unlock three studs elsewhere.
    • Late-news dependent — Injury updates around Mitchell, Mason Taylor, and Bosa could meaningfully reshape ownership and value access before lock.
    CHALK / FIELD SHAPE ::
    • Stars-and-scrubs at RB — Walker and Gibbs are drawing the highest projected ownership, compressing WR and TE into value tiers.
    • TE is wide open — Fannin, Juwan Johnson, Gadsden, and Sadiq give multiple cheap paths.
    • QB salary is the lever — Herbert, Shough, and Brissett all offer discounts that fund premium skill positions.
    • Wilson ownership likely to climb — Garrett Wilson’s roster rate is expected to grow significantly by Sunday, eroding his current leverage window.
