Storyboard Crowdsourcing

The usual arrangement for my “Storyboards” is to draft a team, explain pick-by-pick what I was thinking, and then give a summary of the final team. In order to get my full volume of drafts in, however, I do a lot of Slow Drafts. I had an idea to change things up a bit and let the OWS Best Ball + subs chime in with their thoughts as a sort of training exercise. This exercise was completed on July 22nd. How it works:

  1. I sent three draft boards for teams I was on the clock with that were at least a few rounds in. I tried to pick teams that were near a “turn” for draft position so people could share thoughts for multiple picks.
  2. Subs could send me their thoughts on what they would do with those two picks for that specific team, and why.
  3. I made the actual picks, and in this article you can find the thoughts from the subscribers, my feedback to their thoughts, and what I did and my reasoning/strategy::

Draft #1 – Drafters $3 “Mini II” (41)

JohnnyApple24 — “Roster #41 is your easiest decision, by far, taking Sam LaPorta and Justin Fields on the wrap. The bets you’re making here are attaining the services of TE #4 on the season (with a nine-pick discount) and QB #7 on the season. It allows you to push both positional quotients deep into the draft while giving you access to important ceiling at both “onesie” positions. There’s no need to sacrifice your quotients simply because you bought high on Laporta and Fields.”
