Heat’s IDP Player Profile

IDP Player Profile: S DeShon Elliott, Pittsburgh Steelers

After an injury-riddled season for the defense last year, the Pittsburgh Steelers are poised once again to be one of the best defenses in the NFL. Adding a player like DeShon Elliott not only strengthens the defense but also deepens it, which will be an edge for the Steelers.

What Elliott brings to the table is solid play all around which is backed up by his stats last year. In 15 games, Elliott recorded 82 total tackles, one fumble recovery, one interception, and seven passes defended. That would give you around 95 points for last season in most IDP leagues.

Elliott will be an excellent late-round steal, while others go for Minkah Fitzpatrick because of his name power. However, Fitzpatrick has had some injuries most recently and only played 10 games, which didn’t really move the bar in any way. This is where stealing a player like Elliott late in a draft could provide that steel foundation in any of your IDP leagues.

2024 Projections: 102 Total tackles, 6 passes defended, 2 Ints, and 1 Forced Fumble.
