Teams on BYE: Giants, Panthers, Patriots, 49ers
Each week, it is critical to scope out your league’s waiver wire to look for the best players to help your fantasy roster. The fantasy football managers who pay attention and pick up players at the right time can have a huge advantage when it comes to winning their league. The difference between bidding on waivers and FAAB is that, with FAAB, winning the player is based solely on outbidding other players in the league. However, it’s extremely important to be judicious with your FAAB budget throughout the season, considering it may need to last 14-17 weeks, assuming you end up making the fantasy championship.
Here is a list of players to keep on your watch list, along with their projected FAAB amounts. For purposes of this article, the assumption is that your league uses $ 1,000 FAAB.
Also, players are removed from this list after 1-2 weeks, with the expectation that the rest of your league mates have picked them up.
**Very Important–As the fantasy playoffs are approaching, please make sure to get your backups in case of injury!**
New for Week 14:
Tyrod Taylor, Jets–Tyrod has played like the veteran he is and has helped the Jets offense immensely. He’s not a world beater, but Week 14 has four teams on BYE, so he’s viable. FAAB: $15-20
Trey Lance, Chargers–There is no timeline on Justin Herbert’s return from surgery. He’s expected to play in Week 14, but rostering Lance just in case would be smart. FAAB: $5-10
From Previous Weeks:
Shadeur Sanders, Browns–Sanders looks solid and is more than willing to throw the ball downfield to his receivers. FAAB: $5-10
Cam Ward, Titans–Ward has had his ups and downs, but there are signs of improvement. FAAB: $5-10
Tyler Shough, Saints– The Saints play at a fast pace, and he has shown glimpses of improvement. FAAB: $5-10
Kirk Cousins, Falcons–Penix was already placed on the IR, and it’s now Cousins’ team. FAAB: $5-10
New for Week 14:
Blake Corum, Rams–Corum looks appreciable faster than Kyren Williams and could see more time over the next few weeks, especially if Los Angeles wants to make sure Kyren is ready for the playoffs. FAAB: $50-75
Malik Davis, Cowboys–He’s the clear RB2, but he does have some juice and could see 5-10 touches a week. FAAB: $40-50
Keaton Mitchell–He’s the Ravens version of Malik Davis. FAAB: $30-40
From Previous Weeks:
Devin Neal, Saints–It’s definitely possible that Alvin Kamara misses more time with injury, as the team has little to play for. It might be smart for the Saints to see what Neal can do. FAAB: $100-150
Emanuel Wilson, Packers–Get him now if you have Jacobs. FAAB: $50-100
Chris Rodriguez, Commanders–For some reason, Washington has decided to go with Rodriguez and not Croskey-Merritt as their RB1. Things are fluid with the Commanders run game, so don’t overbid. FAAB: $15-20
Trey Benson, Cardinals–There’s a good chance that Benson returns to action in Week 14, so if he is out there, he is a must-add. FAAB: $200-250
Tyler Allgeier, Falcons–He’s more than just a backup; he’s a TD threat too. Like him in standard leagues. FAAB: $50-60
Brian Robinson, Jr., 49ers–He looks like the 49ers new goal-line back. Pay an extra buck in a standard format. FAAB: $30-40
Isaiah Davis, Jets —A solid hedge in case Hall gets injured. FAAB: $20-25
New for Week 14:
Jayden Higgins, Texans–He’s the Texans clear WR2 and is tough to cover in man coverage. FAAB: $40-50
Isaac TeSlaa, Lions–He’s the obvious choice to see more targets if St. Brown misses time with the ankle injury. FAAB: $45-50
Dontayvion Wicks, Packers–Should have a role, especially against man coverage, so long as Golden remains out. FAAB: $20-25
Jayden Reed, Packers–Reed is terrific against zone coverage and is expected to be activated either in Week 14 or 15. FAAB: $35-40
From Previous Weeks:
Chimere Dike, Titans–Dike has become the WR1 for Tennessee. Bid an extra few dollars if your league gives points for returning yards. FAAB: $35-40
John Metchie III, Jets–He’s got the talent to be the Jets WR1 with Wilson out and could end up being Tyrod’s favorite target. FAAB: $25-30
Gabe Davis, Bills–With Keon Coleman dealing with maturity issues, it might be Davis who is the beneficiary of the targets. He is familiar with Josh Allen and the Bills system, which helps. FAAB: $15-20
Greg Dortch, Cardinals–Dortch will be heavily involved in the passing attack so long as Harrison remains sidelined. FAAB: $35-40
Jalen Coker, Panthers–More of a speculation play than anything when he returns from BYE in Week 15. FAAB: $10-12
Adonai Mitchell, Jets–Expect to see Mitchell be the Jets best downfield target the rest of the season (he leads the league in air yards). FAAB: $15-20
Pat Bryant, Broncos–His snaps are slowly ramping up. Sean Payton was enamored with him in training camp. FAAB: $5-7
New for Week 14:
Brenton Strange, Jaguars–Returned from the IR and already looked like he has a strong connection with Trevor Lawrence. FAAB: $45-50
Colby Parkinson, Rams–Tyler Higbee was placed on the IR, and Parkinson is one of three Rams TEs who get touches (Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson are the others). But Parkinson is the one with the most experience. FAAB: $10-15
From Previous Weeks:
Taysom Hill, Saints–With Kamara injured, expect the Saints to get Hill heavily involved. He’s a TD vulture and should be picked up in standard and .5 PPR formats. FAAB: $15-20
Colston Loveland, Bears–He seems to be asserting himself as the new starting TE in Chicago. Cole Kmet is too good a blocker to be replaced entirely, but Loveland will be in there in obvious passing situations. FAAB: $25-30
Darnell Washington, Steelers–Washington seems to be emerging as the go-to tight end for Pittsburgh. He’s a HUGE target in the red zone. Much better in standard formats. FAAB: $5-10
Gunnar Helm, Titans–He was a solid player at Texas and seems to be in the right spots for Cam Ward downfield. FAAB: $20-25
Isaiah Likely, Ravens–Likely may have a sizable role as the Ravens seem to be lacking production from any receiver not named Flowers and Andrews. FAAB: $25-30
A.J. Barner, Seahawks–Barner is a big-time blocking tight end with surprisingly decent skills as a receiver. FAAB: $5-10
