We’re back for another exciting week of NFL football as we get ready to dive into the waiver wire to find some gems. With the NFL season past the halfway point, many seasonal teams are starting to check out. That means you’ll have less competition to compete with and maybe even a dropped player that you could use on defense. That being said, let’s get to this week’s pick-ups of the week, so that you can slay your competition. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.
LB Dee Winters, San Francisco 49ers
After Tatum Bethune went down last week, Dee Winters had the entire field to himself as he recorded 10 total tackles against the Cardinals. At 30 percent owned, Winters is the staple of consistency when it comes to the linebacking core for the Niners. Pick him up this week for that final push to the playoffs.
LB Omar Speights, Los Angeles Rams
Omar Speights had been getting a lot more play recently while getting above 60 percent of the snaps in his previous three games. I’m the past two, he has recorded 18 total tackles, which means Speights is finally learning how to tackle in space. Puns aside, at 17 percent owned, Speights is most likely on your waiver wire. If you’re in a dynasty league, this would be the time to pick him up so you can have him for next year.
LB Noah Sewell, Chicago Bears
A lot of people will read this article and wonder who Noah Sewell is, but they will soon find out. With injuries plaguing the Bears defense, Sewell had stepped in and performed brilliantly, recording 16 tackles in his past two games. At 14 percent owned, Sewell is not only a great addition to your team but could be the future in Chicago when it comes to defense.
DL Josh Hines-Allen, Jacksonville Jaguars
Josh Hines-Allen is known for being a solid defensive player and sharing the same name as the league’s best fantasy quarterback, until he added some ketchup to his name. However, when Hines-Allen is on the field, you shouldn’t hold the football like a hot dog because he’s going to sauce you up. Hines-Allen may be around 57 percent owned, but if he is available, you should pick him up immediately.
DB Paulson Adebo, New York Giants
Paulson Adebo has been out with an injury since week seven and should be back soon. I’m most leagues, Adebo has recorded double-digit fantasy points in all of his games, including the one he was injured in. Adebo is around 50 percent owned in most leagues, but if he’s available, pick him up immediately. Adebo is the type of player who can help you win this season.
