The Hardest Hits | IDP Waiver Wire: NFL Week 5

Yes, I rebranded this article because back in the day, the sportsbooks would offer more tackle props across different markets. So, since that aspect of this article was dead (cool picks), I decided to focus on five players who will bring the hardest hits every single week. The format will stay the same as always, which brings me up to this week’s subject. I highlighted a player that I have been covering all year and that I feel may be starting to get more snaps in the future. Who could that be? You’ll find out soon enough. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.

LB Eric Wilson, Minnesota Vikings

If you’re looking for a great backup or a starter to plug in, Eric Wilson is your guy. Playing on one of the better defenses in the NFL, Wilson has accumulated 26 total tackles this season. Currently ,Wilson is coming off his second game this season with a 100 percent snap rate and is only owned in under two percent of leagues. Pick him up now so that you can stash him for a rainy day.

LB Devin Bush, Cleveland Browns

A lot of people have forgotten how dominant Devin Bush used to be before his injuries. Right now, Bush has 30 total tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble with only an 80 percent snap rate. If this increases anytime soon, you could see Bush hit the double-digit mark for total tackles. At six percent owned, that’s a rush I’m willing to take.

S Julian Love, Seattle Seahawks

With the Seahawks surprising most people with their defense, it’s wild they haven’t been at full strength recently. With rookie Nick Emmanwori out and Julian Love just coming back, they can only get better. Love has played 100 percent of his snaps this season in the games. In those three games, Love has accumulated 18 total tackles and one sack, giving you the green light on a player that is only owned in 24 percent of leagues.

CB Tyson Campbell, Jacksonville Jaguars

Tyson Campbell may come as a surprise to some good making this week’s Hardest Hits article, but he had everything going his way. From a solid defense, an almost 100 percent snap rate for the season, 27 total tackles, one forced fumble, and Campbell is only owned in seven percent of leagues. That’s the type of production you want from a cornerback, so pick up Campbell today and thank us later.

DE Donovan Ezeiruaku, Dallas Cowboys

If you weren’t watching the game on Sunday Night Football, then you missed what Donovan Ezeiruaku is capable of and why I’m highlighting him. Only playing 48 percent of the snaps, Ezeiruaku recorded five total tackles, but each one of those tackles was dominant. With a lot of mobile quarterbacks coming up until their bye, look for Ezeiruaku’s snap count to increase as we all watch the NFL’s next big superstar flourish.
