2025 Fantasy Football: In Or Out?

As the draft season begins in earnest thisAugust, here are three players that I am currently “In”  on as well as three players that I am “Out” on at each position.

QB:

In:

Dak Prescott—I have zero faith in Dallas being able to run the football making Dak a solid mid-round choice.

Trevor Lawrence—I’m buying into the Liam Coen is an offensive genius narrative. Lawrence has always had the skills but never the proper coaching to help him.

Cam Ward—Every time I hear him speak, I am more and more impressed. Then when I watch his videos from training camp my feelings are confirmed.

Out:

Caleb Williams—If Ben Johnson can’t fix this guy, he might be unfixable.

Matthew Stafford—The back injury worries me. In fact, I think it leads to downgrading Puka and Adams too.

Drake Maye—I love his skills but think he’s still a year away from being fantasy relevant due to a new offense.

RB:

In:

Kaleb Johnson—Arthur Smith it going to make him his bell cow running back early in the season.

Jordan Mason—There’s already talk of a 50/50 split in Minnesota. I am all for it and think that Mason can score 10 TDs.

Jaydon Blue—He went from being lazy to being hard to stop in a matter of days. Dallas needs explosivity from its offense and Blue is as explosive as it gets.

Out:

Joe Mixon—I will have zero shares of Mixon until further notice. I am not against trading for him mid-season, but he could be a potential zero in a lineup for weeks.

Rhamondre Stevenson—I’m hearing his fumbling issues have returned in training camp.

Brian Robinson, Jr.—Hearing the heavy footsteps of rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt.

WR:

In:

Terry McLaurin—I feel confident that he will sign soon so buy the dip if it exists in your league.

Travis Hunter—If anyone can find ways to get him the football it’s Liam Coen.

Emeka Egbuka—Could be the WR2 to start the season with Godwin hurt. Even when Godwin returns, I am not sure they can afford to take him off the field.

Out:

Brandon Aiyuk—Unless your league has a spot for injured players, I would be hesitant to draft him.

D.J. Moore—Love the player, hate the quarterback.

Michael Pittman—I am out on Pittman unless Daniel Jones is named starter.

TE:

In:

Trey McBride—His TDs should go up, making him a potential game changer.

Evan Engram—Denver lacks a true WR2 so it’s a good thing that Engram plays like a receiver.

Mason Taylor—Already making plays in training camp and the Jets have little else in the passing game.

Out:

David Njoku—He’s a really talented player but the QB play could be atrocious.

Isaiah Likely—His training camp injury worries me.

Mike Gesicki—If they like him so much why did they go out and sign Noah Fant?
