Every week, I go through game totals, spreads, player props, and fantasy matchups, looking to find the best NFL prop bets so I can share them with you. Good luck this week!
There is a lot to like about this bet. Cousins has already faced the Bucs this season, and he threw for 509 yards. The Bucs rank 29th in the NFL against the pass and in points allowed per game, and I expect it to get even worse now that they are missing their best two WRs. The Bucs are also usually a strong run defense, which means teams throw on them more often than not, which is what leads to such terrible numbers against the pass. In fantasy football, the Bucs rank 31st against QBs.
The Panthers have the worst defense in football. They allow the most points per game (33.9), the most rushing yards per game (162), and rank last against RBs in fantasy football. Williams is coming off his best performance of the season by far, rushing for 88 yards with a 6.3 average per carry. With all of those stats spelled out, it’s easy to understand why I like this bet.
I like Stroud this week because of his matchup against the Colts, but also because he has something to prove after a tough loss against the Packers in which he didn’t throw for a TD and only managed 86 yards through the air. He has been a much better passer at home this season than on the road, though, averaging over 300 passing yards per game at home and more than a TD pass per game at home. Stroud threw for 2 TD passes against the Colts in week one, and it came on the road where the Texans have suffered both of their losses this season. Heading back home against a familiar opponent will get Stroud back on his game.
He has caught 15 passes on 15 targets over the past two weeks. He caught 10 passes in a game against the Bears in which his team was trailing and 5 against the Patriots in a game in which his team was winning. Expect the Jags to be losing this week against a great Packers team and forced to air it out. Engram is their top pass catcher, and the Packers haven’t been good against the TE position this season.
