2025 NFL Awards Props & Predictions

AP Most Valuable Player: Joe Burrow (QB – CIN)

Odds: +600

Burrow continues to improve and has rebounded from an injury-riddled 2023 season. The Cincinnati QB led the NFL in passing yards (4,918), touchdown passes (43), completions (460), attempts (652), and yards per game (289.3). Entering year six, Burrow has more in store and will be crowned the 2025-2026 AP Most Valuable Player.

Top 5 Favorites:

AP Coach of the Year: Ben Johnson (CHI)

Odds: +650

Ben Johnson takes over as Bears head coach after spending 2022-2024 as Detroit’s offensive coordinator. 2024 saw Johnson lead Detroit in being crowned the NFL’s highest-scoring offense (33.2 PPG) while earning the 2024 AP NFL Assistant Coach of the Year award. He will make it his priority to turn a historically defensive franchise into an offensive powerhouse.

Top 5 Favorites:

AP Offensive Player of the Year: Ja’Marr Chase (WR – CIN)

Odds: +1000

Chase finished the 2024 season setting career-highs and leading the NFL in receptions (127), targets (175), receiving yards (1,708), and touchdowns (17). If Joe Burrow is to be crowned the 2025-2026 AP Most Valuable Player, expect Ja’Marr Chase to once again lead the NFL in all receiving categories for a second-straight season.

Top 5 Favorites:

AP Defensive Player of the Year: Maxx Crosby (DE – LV)

Odds: +1600

Crosby was on his way to setting career-best marks for a second-straight season before an ankle injury, requiring surgery, limited him to 12 games. Fast-forward to the upcoming season, and new head coach Pete Carroll will get more out of Crosby, leading him to a defensive player of the year award.

Top 5 Favorites:

AP Comeback Player of the Year: Aidan Hutchinson (DE – DET)

Odds: +270

Hutchinson was leading the NFL in sacks before a devastating knee injury cut his season to five games. Fully cleared for the 2025 season, Hutchinson will set career-highs while winning the comeback player of the year award, while pushing Las Vegas’ Maxx Crosby for defensive player of the year.

Top 5 Favorites:

AP Offensive Rookie of the Year: Colston Loveland (TE – CHI)

Odds: +2700

Chicago’s Ben Johnson era started with the team selecting tight end Colston Loveland 10th overall in the 2025 draft. Loveland will mimic Detroit’s Sam LaPorta in Ben Johnson’s Chicago offense and see production like Las Vegas’ Brock Bowers last season. Ashton Jeanty and Cameron Ward are getting the most love, but Loveland is a young, faster version of Jimmy Graham’s early years in New Orleans.

Top 5 Favorites:

AP Defensive Rookie of the Year: Travis Hunter (CB – JAX)

Odds: +1300

The NFL hasn’t had a player consistently on both sides of the ball in a long time. That will change with Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter. Should he be as successful as he was in college, he will be the NFL’s version of Shohei Ohtani. Hunter will fall short of being named offensive rookie of the year but will take home the defensive honors.

Top Five Favorites:

Protector of the Year: Quenton Nelson (OG – IND)

Odds: +2000

Nelson has been one of the best guards during his NFL career, and 2025 will be his eighth season. After being one of the highest graded guards from 2018-2020, there was a noticeable dip in his production. He required foot surgery following the 2021 season and worked his way back to full health in 2022 and 2023. Last year was a rejuvenation for the Indianapolis left guard as he finished the season as the NFL’s 4th-ranked offensive guard. 2025 will be another elite year for the six-time Pro Bowler and three-time AP First-Team All-Pro, and he will be awarded the 2025-2026 Protector of the Year.
