QB
20%, 33% Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons- Penix had an excellent first game. He was 27 of 42, throwing for nearly 300 yards and a touchdown and rushing 6 times for 21 yards and a touchdown. The rookie looks to be the real deal and is worth picking up if you need a better primary or secondary QB.
9%, 14% Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers- Rodgers turned back the clock for his new team, going 22 for 30 and throwing for 244 yards and a whopping 4 touchdowns. He showed immediate chemistry with the whole team, utilizing many of his weapons right out of the gate.
5%, 6% Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts- Many acknowledged Jones as the better and more reliable thrower than Anthony Richardson but were worried he still probably wouldn’t be very good. Well, if he keeps performing like he just did in week 1, he’ll prove a lot of people wrong. He was 22 for 29, throwing for 272 yards and a touchdown and rushed 7 times for 26 yards and 2 touchdowns.
WR
76, 50% Keenan Allen, Los Angeles Chargers- Allen went for 7 catches and 68 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets, leading the team in targets and looking right back at home with his old team. Justin Herbert looked amazing and Allen is at least a WR2 in my book, especially with so many of the WR1’s disappointing out the gate.
43%, 28% Cedric Tillman, Cleveland Browns- Tillman looked great in week 1, catching 5 of his 8 targets for 52 yards and a TD. This is a continuation of good play for him that stretches back to last year prior to his injury. He is definitely worth trying to acquire if you’re in need of a good receiver with upside and a solid floor.
4%, 9% Quentin Johnston, Los Angeles Chargers- Johnston had 5 catches for 79 yards and 2 touchdowns on 7 targets. He might not cash in like he did here every week, but he’s a great add in deeper leagues due to his substantial upside on a good throwing team.
1%, 2% Kayshon Boutte, New England Patriots- Boutte caught 6 of his 8 targets from Drake Maye for 103 yards. He should continue to be one of the receiving options Maye utilizes most frequently going forward and is worth a look in deeper leagues.
RB
71%, 87% Zach Charbonnet, Seattle Seahawks- Charbs is likely owned, especially in Yahoo leagues, but in the off chance he isn’t, he should be the top priority. He is also a great trade target right now. He did not look merely like Ken Walker’s backup this game, as was initially expected. Rather, the backfield looked to be split and Charbonnet had the more impressive performance with his 12 carries going for 47 yards and a touchdown.
33%, 46% Dylan Sampson, Cleveland Browns- Sampson was awfully impressive, rushing for 29 yards on 12 carries but also going 8 for 8 and 64 yards receiving. While Quinshon Judkins will be there starting in week 2, one has to imagine that Sampson will continue to be utilized going forward, especially as a passing back. This makes him worth owning in PPR leagues in particular.
TE
43%, 59% Hunter Henry, New England Patriots- Maye looked to Henry often, targeting the tight end 8 times. Henry caught 4 of those passes for 66 yards. This is a continuation of good involvement continuing from last year, which is encouraging.
41%, 51% Zach Ertz, Washington Commanders- Ertz is old reliable. He caught 3 of 5 targets for 26 yards and a touchdown. This is a perfect example of how he should be utilized for the rest of the year, and the fact that he will be looked at often by Jayden Daniels in the red zone makes him worthy of fantasy consideration every week.
1%, 2% Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns- While many (myself included) were expecting good things from David Njoku out the gate, it was Fannin who stole the show. He was targeted 9 times- the most on the team- catching 7 of those passes for 63 yards. Fannin had a great preseason and comes fairly highly touted, so this could absolutely be a sign of things to come. He looks like their #1 tight end and deserves to be treated as such unless proven otherwise. He’s a priority pickup if you’re considering picking up a tight end this week.
1%, 2% Juwan Johnson, New Orleans Saints- Johnson caught 8 of his 11 targets for 76 yards. His usage was very promising, and he looks like he could be a sneaky good option at tight end moving forward.
K
57%, 39% Tyler Loop, Baltimore Ravens- Loop went 2 for 2 on field goals and made 4 of 5 extra points. He is part of the Ravens high-octane offense and seems like he’s got a pretty good boot, making him worthy of consideration.
54%, 37% Cam Little, Jacksonville Jaguars- Little went 4 for 4 on field goals, one of which was a 47-yarder, and 2 for 2 on extra points. He is quite accurate and could be a sneaky good option at the position this season.
DST
38%, 46% Green Bay Packers- The Pack looked extremely good against the Lions, sacking Goff 4 times and forcing an interception, with newly acquired Micah Parsons paying immediate dividends for his new team. It will be interesting to see how they perform against Washington, but they are the top add and a good bet to continue performing well if you need a better defensive unit.
7%, 28% Los Angeles Rams- The Rams looked good in week 1, getting 3 sacks and forcing 2 turnovers. They should be a good option again in week 2 vs. the Titans.
