We’re back for another exciting week of NFL football as we get ready to dive into the waiver wire to find some gems. With the NFL season approaching the halfway point, many seasonal teams are starting to check out. That means you’ll have less competition to compete with and maybe even a dropped player that you could use on defense. That being said, let’s get to this week’s pick-ups of the week, so that you can slay your competition. Have a great day, everyone, and may the tackles be with you.
LB Eric Wilson, Minnesota Vikings
Eric Wilson is practically an unknown player when it comes to fantasy football. At six percent ownership, Wilson is a perfect fit for any fantasy team, whether it’s as a starter or a backup. Wilson’s snap count has been down for the past three games, but he still has been laying the wood with four total tackles and two sacks in his last game.
LB Tatum Bethune, San Francisco 49ers
I recommended Tatum Bethune recently, and people still haven’t caught on. At 12 percent rostered, Bethune has risen eight percent in ownership, but is still being disrespected by fantasy owners. Bethune has recorded 50 total tackles in the past four games and doesn’t have a bye week for another four weeks. Pick him up now and solidify your playoff chances this year.
LB Payton Wilson, Pittsburgh Steelers
Payton Wilson and the Pittsburgh Steelers finally had a great defensive game, even after losing players to injury. Wilson recorded his highest snap count since week four, and he delivered with 13 tackles and a crucial interception to help seal the game. At 15 percent owned, Wilson could be that piece your fantasy defense had been missing.
S Devon Witherspoon, Seattle Seahawks
Devon Witherspoon has been in and out of the Seahawks lineup this year. Witherspoon is currently 17 percent owned, but when he plays, he is a force to be reckoned with in the field. Go to the waiver wire and pick him up immediately because a lot of people know about Witherspoon and his skills he provides for your teams.
DL Joey Bosa, Buffalo Bills
Sunday reminded us how dominant the Bills defense can be and how much of a problem Joey Bosa is for offenses. Since their bye, Bosa has recorded five total tackles and two sacks with Tua Tagovailoa in his sights this week as the Bills travel to Miami to play the Dolphins. At six percent ownership, Bosa can help your teams for the rest of the season, and your only competition will be the fantasy owners who are part of the Bills Mafia.
