Heat Check of the Week

LB DeMario Davis, New Orleans Saints

DeMario Davis is this week’s Heat Check of the Week because in the past four games, he has recorded double-digit tackles in three of them. At just over 34 percent owned, Davis could be available in your league. With the Saints headed to Los Angeles to play the Rams, you can BET that the Saints are going to get destroyed and Davis will be on the field all day.

Pickup of the week

LB Barrett Carter, Cincinnati Bengals

Barrett Carter has finally exploded onto the scene and is currently owned in 22 percent of leagues. However, after piling up 30 total tackles and four stuffs in the past three games, Carter is the perfect play with the Bears coming to town. Look for plenty of opportunities for tackles as this new-age superstar takes the reins for the Bengals’ defense.
