Teams on BYE: Colts, Saints
Each week, it is critical to scope out your league’s waiver wire to look for the best players to help your fantasy roster. The fantasy football managers who pay attention and pick up players at the right time can have a huge advantage when it comes to winning their league. The difference between bidding on waivers and FAAB is that, with FAAB, winning the player is based solely on outbidding other players in the league. However, it’s extremely important to be judicious with your FAAB budget throughout the season, considering it may need to last 14-17 weeks, assuming you end up making the fantasy championship.
Here is a list of players to keep on your watch list, along with their projected FAAB amounts. For purposes of this article, the assumption is that your league uses $ 1,000 FAAB.
Also, players are removed from this list after 1-2 weeks, with the expectation that the rest of your league mates have picked them up.
QB:
New for Week 11:
Aaron Rodgers, Steelers–Rodgers has openly admitted his poor play, but nothing cures poor play like playing the Bengals in Week 11. If you are desperate for a win, he is a good choice. FAAB: $20-25
Geno Smith, Raiders–after a great game against Jacksonville, Smith had a horrible performance against Denver. Week 11 has Las Vegas playing Dallas, and EVERYONE seems to thrive against Dallas. FAAB: $20-25
Russell Wilson, Giants–In case Jaxson Dart misses time with a concussion. FAAB: $3-5
Davis Mills, Texans–Mills played well against Jacksonville and is a good hedge in case Stroud misses another week. FAAB: $3-5
Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins–Miami looked terrific against Buffalo, so this could be the sign of good things to come. FAAB: $5-10
From Previous Weeks:
Marcus Mariota, Commanders–Mariota has mobility and a decent arm, but with TMC and now Luke McCaffrey out, he has few receivers to choose from. Only bid if desperate. FAAB: $50-60
J.J. McCarthy, Vikings–McCarthy threw a few hospital balls against Baltimore, which will not endear him to his receivers. I like his mobility, but he is still a work in progress. FAAB: $45-50
Michael Penix, Falcons–Penix looked rough against Indianapolis, and it would not shock me to see Zac Robinson scale the playbook down even more. FAAB: $35-40
Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars–Lawrence is like a roller coaster that makes you nauseous. Only for the most desperate. FAAB: $25-30
Tyler Shough, Saints–Shough looked good against Carolina. New Orleans is on BYE in Week 11, so only spend a dollar or two in case you need a backup in Weeks 12-14. FAAB: $1-2
RB:
New for Week 11:
Trey Benson, Cardinals–There’s a good chance that Benson returns to action in Week 11, so if he is out there, he is a must-add. FAAB: $200-250
Tyler Allgeier, Falcons–He’s more than just a backup; he’s a TD threat too. Like him in standard leagues. FAAB: $50-60
Brian Robinson, Jr., 49ers–He looks like the 49ers new goal-line back. Pay an extra buck in a standard format. FAAB: $30-40
Emeri Demercado, Cardinals–Bam Knight left the game with an injury, so Demercado will be the RB1 if Benson misses another game or the RB2 if Benson returns. Remember, Benson is not much of a receiving threat, so Demercado still has value in PPR formats. FAAB: $40-50 (maybe more if Benson is out)
Sean Tucker, Bucs–It’s starting to look like Bucky Irving is going to miss more time. The more Tucker plays, the better he looks. Buy now, as it might be the last week to get him. FAAB: $60-80
Brashard Smith, Chiefs–Rookies always seem to have more opportunities after BYE weeks. Expect the same with Smith, who the Chiefs want to get more involved. FAAB: $30-35
Tyler Badie, Broncos–J.K. Dobbins was injured against Las Vegas, and with Denver on BYE in Week 12, it seems logical that they might sit him. If that happens, Harvey is the RB1 and Badie becomes the RB2. FAAB: $3-5
Tahj Brooks, Bengals–Samaje Perine has a high-ankle sprain, so if anything should happen to Chase Brown, Brooks will get the call. FAAB: $5-10
From Previous Weeks:
Dylan Sampson, Browns–A solid hedge in case Judkins gets injured. FAAB: $20-25
Isaiah Davis, Jets —A solid hedge in case Hall gets injured. FAAB: $20-25
Blake Corum, Rams–Is it me, or does it look like Corum is running WAY better than Kyren? FAAB: $55-60
Chris Rodriguez, Commanders–Be careful, as he injured his shoulder in the last game. FAAB: $15-20
Tyrone Tracy, Jr., Giants–He’s got plenty of talent; hopefully, Mike Kafka likes him more than Brian Daboll did. FAAB: $100-125
Tank Bigsby, Eagles–A solid hedge in case Saquon gets injured. FAAB: $20-25 (add another $10 if you have Saquon)
Bhayshul Tuten, Jaguars–A solid hedge in case Etienne gets injured. FAAB: $30-35
Devin Neal, Saints–Kendre Miller is out for the season with a torn ACL, and Kamara hasn’t looked great recently. Worth a flyer. FAAB: $5-10
Emmanuel Wilson, Packers– Would add for sure if you have Jacobs. FAAB: $20-25
WR:
New for Week 11:
Tez Johnson, Bucs–He’s looking like a solid option with the injuries to Evans and Godwin. FAAB: $80-100
Adonai Mitchell, Jets–With Garett Wilson out for the next month, expect to see Mitchell become the WR1 for Justin Fields (for whatever that is worth). FAAB: $15-20
Kyle Williams, Patriots–Shout out to Willie Walls, who mentioned him on our Friday Night Lights show. He’s an explosive, big-play receiver with upside. FAAB: $15-20
Mack Hollins, Patriots–Arguably a top-five blocking WR and can catch when needed. FAAB; $5-10
Tyler Lockett, Raiders–Lockett was an under-the-radar signing after he was released by the Titans. He’s a Pete Carroll and Gebo Smith favorite. FAAB: $20-25
Roman Wilson, Steelers–It’s either him or Austin as the WR2 for Pittsburgh, depending on the week. Next week is Cincinnati, so that could be worth a shot. FAAB: $5-10
Jailen Nailor, Vikings–McCarthy seems to like throwing to him more than Hockenson. FAAB: $5-10
From Previous Weeks:
Parker Washington, Jaguars–With Thomas not playing at 100% Washington is looking more and more secure as a starter, and he looks great. FAAB: $100-125
Jaylin Lane, Commanders–Luke McCaffrey is out for the season, and TMC is still dealing with injuries, leaving Lane as the likely starter with Deebo. FAAB: $50-60
Darius Slayton, Giants–Will be the WR2 now that he’s back from injury. Dart is not afraid to sling it, which helps. FAAB: $35-40
Alec Pierce, Colts–No one wants to roster him, but he seems to make the big downfield plays when they need him. FAAB: $100-125
Pat Bryant, Broncos–His snaps are slowly ramping up. Sean Payton was enamored with him in training camp. FAAB: $5-7
Chimere Dike–Dike is just a rookie, but he is getting more snaps and has sneaky value as a return man. FAAB: $25-30
Jalen Coker, Panthers–More of a speculation play than anything, since McMillan and Legette are there. FAAB: $10-12
TE:
New for Week 11:
Dawson Knox, Bills–Kincaid is week-to-week with a hamstring injury. Worth a few bucks in a standard format. FAAB: $5-10
Jackson Hawes, Bills–Could see the field some with Kincaid dealing with an injury. FAAB: $5-10
Tyler Conklin, Chargers–Oronde Gadsden has an injured quad and likely will miss some practice this week. With the Chargers on BYE in Week 12 it would not be a shock to see him sit this week to be ready to return in Week 13. FAAB: #1-2
Terrance Ferguson, Rams–He’s one of four tight ends who sees targets, but he’s a rookie with the most upside, and he’s starting to build trust with Matt Stafford. FAAB: $10-15
Greg Dulcich, Dolphins–Only for the most desperate. FAAB: $1-2
From Previous Weeks:
Luke Musgrave, Packers–Few remember, but it was Musgrave, and not Kraft, who had the higher expectations coming out of the draft. FAAB: $80-100 (a definite get for anyone who had Kraft).
Elijah Arroyo, Seahawks–He has serious receiving skills and might see more snaps as Seattle makes a playoff push. FAAB: $5-10
Gunnar Helm, Titans–He was a solid player at Texas and seems to be in the right spots for Cam Ward downfield. FAAB: $1-2
Noah Fant, Bengals–Joe Flacco has always liked using his tight ends, and Fant is the TE1. FAAB: $10-12
Isaiah Likely, Ravens–Likely may have a sizable role as the Ravens seem to be lacking production from any receiver not named Flowers and Andrews. FAAB: $25-30
Mason Taylor, Jets– With the Jets lacking any serious number two receiver, Taylor has stepped up. He should be good for 3-5 receptions a week moving forward. FAAB: $10-15
A.J. Barner, Seahawks–Barner is a big-time blocking tight end with surprisingly decent skills as a receiver. FAAB: $5-10
