One Week Season

Doc’s Visionary Plays – Fantasy Football Week 14

QB:

Matthew Stafford, Rams–The Stafford MVP Tour got derailed last week in Carolina (I told you a let-down game was incoming), but that should only spur him on to have a HUGE Week 14. Look for Stafford to throw 3 TD passes and 265 yards as he gets back on track against Arizona.

Joe Burrow, Bengals–I always like taking the opposing QB in the highest scoring game and hope that he can keep the game close. When Cincinnati gets pushed, Burrow can often explode, and I think he does this week as he throws for over 300 yards and at least 2 TDs.

Lamar Jackson, Ravens–Look, I get it–Lamar has been awful, but that is exactly the reason why you play him!  No one wants to play Lamar, and the NFL is all about regression to the mean. True Visionaries get this and know that Lamar will have his best game of the season and throw for 240 yards and 2 TDs and run for 50 yards and a TD.

Sam Darnold, Seahawks–Do you know which QB loves throwing against the blitz downfield? Sam Darnold. Do you know which team plays a ton of Cover 4 defense, which Sam shreds? The Falcons do. Darnold was a fantasy disaster in Week 13, but he will feast on the birds in Week 14. Lock him in for 250 yards and 2 TDs.

Honorable Mention: J.J. McCarthy, Trevor Lawrence

RB:

De’Von Achane, Dolphins–The loss of Tyreek Hill has been a huge gain for Achane and his fantasy managers. Tua peppers him with targets, and Mike McDaniel has leaned on him for a ton of carries, even if he loses one or two by the goal line. The Jets and Miami always seem to play weirdly exciting games, and this could be one of those where Achane dominates with 150+ total yards from scrimmage and a TD.

James Cook, Bills–As much as we all love Josh Allen, Buffalo sticks to their running game way more than most people realize. Cook finds those huge running gaps, and the Bengals DL is not big enough to touch him before he gets 4-5 yards at a clip. Look for Cook to get over 100 rushing yards this week, with a great chance at 150, and at least 1 TD, and possibly 2.

Josh Jacobs, Packers–Green Bay is going to want to establish their run game in this important divisional matchup. Expect them to feed Jacobs with at least 20 carries, which makes him my lock of the week to score a TD.

R.J. Harvey, Broncos–Sadly, it took a JK Dobbins injury for Denver to unleash R.J. Harvey on the rest of the league. Harvey is dangerous running the ball and catching it out of the backfield. He is a difference maker with explosive speed, and if he can turn the corner on Maxx Crosby, he will end up running for 85 yards and a TD.

Honorable Mention:  Ashton Jeanty, Jordan Mason (IF Aaron Jones is out)

WR:

Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Seahawks–There has been a lot of talk about JSN breaking the receiving yards record, as he needs a bit over 600 yards for the rest of the season to break it. He underperformed last week, but that should change against an Atlanta secondary that plays a ton of cover four defense and blitzes a ton. Look for him to catch eight passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.

Justin Jefferson, Vikings– The Commanders defense has taken a huge step back after performing so well last season. Jefferson has been one of the biggest fantasy disappointments of 2025, but it’s more likely than not that it’s JJ McCarthy’s fault and not his. Almost every quarterback has done well against the Commanders defense, and I expect that McCarthy will too. If that happens, then Jefferson should be the biggest beneficiary as he catches six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Davante Adams, Rams– I mentioned earlier that the Matthew Stafford MVP tour will be back on track in Week 14. His favorite guy by the goal line hasn’t been Kyren Williams, but Adams. Look for Adams to have at least one touchdown, and if you want to throw out a crazy prop bet that he might even have two, I won’t stop you!

Zay Flowers, Ravens– The stars are aligned for Flowers to have his biggest game of the season. Pittsburgh plays a lot of single high and man coverage, which is exactly what Flowers eats up. I mentioned earlier in the segment that Lamar was going to have a rebound game, and I think Flowers is going to be one of the huge beneficiaries of it. Look for him to have eight catches for 87 yards and a touchdown.

Honorable Mention: Michael Pittman, Jr., Khalil Shakir

TE:

Tyler Warren, Colts– The Jacksonville/Indianapolis game is one of the under-the-radar games that could shoot out this week. Jacksonville has had a very difficult time stopping opposing tight ends, and Warren is arguably one of the top in the league, even as a rookie. Look for him to get Indianapolis back in the win column as he catches seven passes for 70 yards and a touchdown.

Brock Bowers, Raiders– New OC Greg Olsen thankfully realized that his best receiver is Brock Bowers, and he got him the football last week. Denver puts their linebackers in man coverage against tight ends, which should absolutely benefit Bowers. Look for him to have 80 yards and a touchdown.

Brenton Strange, Jaguars– One of the things that we’ve talked about all season is that Indianapolis has been very soft in its coverage against opposing tight ends. In his short time back since his return from the IR, Strange has done a really good job of connecting with Trevor Lawrence. Look for that to continue this week as Strange goes for 65 yards and a touchdown.

Darren Waller, Dolphins– The Jets have allowed a lot of short passing touchdowns, which should play right into the hands of Darren Waller, who always seems to have a nose for the end zone. I don’t think this is much of a Jalen Waddle week, but I do think this is a big wall week as he catches four passes for 50 yards and at least one touchdown, and maybe even two.

Honorable Mention: Harold Fannin, Jr., Juwan Johnson
